Height, weight, ability, and board style guide a starting concept. Quiz answers also influence the outline and flotation. These are Tatonka website estimates, not a fit reviewed by Scott.
Our rules are informed by Firewire’s volume guidance, Lost’s Guild Factor, and Almond’s beginner guidance. Family-specific rules keep longer boards fuller; these rules are our interpretation, not those brands’ calculators.
The flotation range is a target. Preview volume is approximated from the dimensions and a shape factor; actual rails, rocker, and foil change finished volume. Scott should confirm the final fit and construction.
